EFICIENTA EXTRACTULUI APOS DE MIMOSA ASUPRA UNOR SPECII DIN GHANA MAI PUTIN UTILIZATE

Rezumat:
Necesitatea de a utiliza specii din ce in ce mai diverse, de la cele traditionale, folosite in mod frecvent, la speciile mai putin utilizate, a fost intotdeauna o problema de interes. Din nefericie, cele mai multe dintre aceste specii nu sunt durabile, de aceea este necesara protectia lor inainte de utilizare. Cele mai multe substante de protectie se biodegradeaza foarte greu, in timp ce altele nu sunt biodegradabile reprezentand o amenintare pentru oameni, alte organisme si mediul lor de viata. Una dintre sursele de produse de protectie a lemnului care sunt biodegradabile rapid o reprezinta la ora actuala extractele pe baza de compusi organici din partile speciilor lemnoase durabile. Prin urmare, eficienta unui extract apos, produs denumit TANAC S.A Mimosa Leopard Solid Wattle, a fost testata pe doua specii din Ghana mai putin utilizate: Canarium schweinfufthii (Bediwonua) si Amphimas pterocarpoides (Yaya) conform standardului EN 252 modificat. Dupa o impregnare sub presiune cele doua specii au fost expuse in camp, in contact cu solul timp de 5 luni, fata de 5 ani cum prevede norma EN 252. Eficienta acestui extract a fost evaluata vizual prin notarea durabilitatii, pierderea procentuala de duritate si pierderea de masa a celor doua specii, dupa expunerea in cimp. Desi specia Amphimas pterocarpoides a retinut in lemn o doza mai mare de extract apos TANAC S.A Mimosa Leopard Solid Wattle, acesta nu a imbunatatit semnificativ durabilitatea speciilor Canarium schwenfurthii si Amphimas pterocarpoides. In ansamblu, se pare ca specia Amphimas pterocarpoides a fost mai durabila.
